Brielle took care of two difficult patients tonight that not only were taxing physically but emotionally as well. One patient she cared for was recently placed on hospice and she gracefully comforted both the patient and the family during this difficult time in their lives. Brielle's other patient during this shift was going through a serious withdrawal from alcohol. Brielle sat at the patient's bedside the entire night to provide comfort and the needed medications to prevent the patient from having seizures. She provided education to the patient's wife who didn't understand the complications that can arise when someone detoxes from alcohol. The patient's wife was able to rest through the night because of Brielle's dedication and care she was able to provide for the patient. Brielle always has a smile on her face even during difficult shifts. She is a wonderful nurse who willingly takes on any assignment.
