This is a heartfelt and sincere thank you. Coming into urgent care I had very ambiguous feelings initially. My spouse came in with lupus flare-ups and was pretty much on the brink of kidney failure. We were admitted and met our nurse, Rhea. She reassured us that we would be in good hands and that everything would be okay. She went above and beyond her call of duty. She was attentive, caring, loving, and just an overall sweet and genuine person. I understand that there are people out there who simply clock in and out of their jobs to collect a paycheck. But with Rhea, I immediately recognized that she lives for her job. She genuinely cared about us like close blood relatives. For example, there were even times where Rhea would check up on us on the hour every hour even though she knew we were asleep.
This was the first time my spouse received dialysis, my mind was racing and I just didn't know what to think. But Rhea put all of my doubts and worries to rest. She walked us through the entire process and thoroughly explained what to expect. There was not one moment where my spouse and I felt worried with Rhea around. The care we received from her was top notch and unrivaled. We literally could not have asked for a better nurse. I was actually taken aback by how much of a wholesome and caring person she is. So much so, that it kept me awake at night which prompted me to write this. I literally could not have slept if I didn't write this out. It would be doing her a disservice and I truly want her to get the recognition that she deserves. She is the change I want to see in this world and she is the golden standard of what every nurse should strive to be. Trust me when I say this, but I am by no means a religious man at all by any stretch of the imagination. But after meeting Rhea, that's when I knew angels existed.
