I felt special when I was in the company of Cathy Rice during my medical appointment. She was very professional while providing fantastic health care/service to me. She provided me with care with dignity and respect. She was also selfless when she provided me the name of a seafood restaurant for my son. My son is in on summer break and attends Virginia Military Institute. Yes, he loves seafood. My wife is going to have a birthday and she likes spicy stuff. Again, Cathy without hesitation recommended another restaurant. My family has been in Roanoke less than two months and I really appreciate her taking care of them. What I liked the most was Cathy providing health care using my Army values (Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless, Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage).
I spent 24 years on active duty as a medical planner all over the world and totally recognize exceptional talent when I see it. Cathy is a "keeper" and represents Salem Veterans Administration in accordance with your established guidelines. Her picture should be posted somewhere in your health care facility as an example of excellence. My medical appointment with Cathy was totally gratifying.
