Sara is an extraordinary young woman and exemplifies the best of qualities of a caring and compassionate nurse.
My husband and Sara found each other during his 2nd week in the hospital, along the way he was gifted with many wonderful nurses in the ICU and PCU but Sara set herself apart in her abilities to not only care for his extraordinary needs, but she also was teaching a student and staying on top of his condition which changed daily. In fact, her quick response and going above and beyond helped to uncover the blood clot which developed in his lung and the later staph infection. Not only did she do what was expected but went beyond in a calm, sincere and loving manner.
How lucky we were, on the day of his discharge to be blessed with her once again being our nurse. She was able to teach me how to care for him and take care of the drain he still has, giving me confidence and setting us up for the long road to full recovery! Sara is a nurse for the ages!
