I have been a patient of the hospital for over 2 years. I have known Jessica the entire time. There have been many times when she's been an extraordinary nurse to me. Recently, I had been assigned a different nurse, and 3.5 hours into the shift, I was extremely upset. Jessica was walking past my room and sensing something was wrong, asked me what was going on. She patiently listened to my concerns, she stepped in, pulled my medications that were overdue, and I was able to rest peacefully. Throughout the shift, she continued to be attentive and ensured I had whatever I needed.
I had her as my nurse again a few days later, and thanks to her extraordinary attention to details, she found I was getting a medication I no longer required. She came in on time for every medicine I required, asked about my family, and checked things in reference to my care.
She is truly an extraordinary nurse with an extraordinary sense of compassion and empathy. I rest easy knowing that she is watching for whatever I may need.
