I needed a bone marrow biopsy but had refused. Finally, a doctor suggested having it immediately following a bronchoscopy, for which I would be sedated. I reluctantly relented. I was taken to the CT lab and learned that the previously agreed plan did not align with their schedule. They were insistent that I was having a bone marrow biopsy first. Ed became my advocate and was just as adamant that it would be done the way I had agreed to, knowing I would back out otherwise. Seeing how apprehensive I was, he stayed right with me through both procedures, constantly talking to me, reassuring me and encouraging me. The needed procedures would not have happened if not for Ed Carter.
