Yolanda made an instant connection with me as my son lay in bed in constant pain due to knee surgery. She always made a point to come by the room to check on our needs and was very thorough when explaining what she was going to do and why she needed to do it. She worked well with her aide and together they made our night extremely pleasant. Yolanda always carried a smile and it was obvious how sincere she is about her career. An A+ example of what extraordinary nursing should be.

Yolanda was my night nurse after my colon surgery and she epitomized all the qualities of a first class healthcare provider: knowledge, compassion, patience and hard working. She took time to explain all the medications to me and was extremely patient when answering my questions. I enjoyed discussing non-medical aspects of my life such as family, travel, and work which put me further at ease. Yolanda really stood out to me and I was sad to learn that she would not be taking another shift during my hospital stay.

Yolanda is always available to help and is very good at teaching me. As a new graduate nurse she helps me often and helps all other staff with new admissions. She is very kind with patients and their families and takes time during her charge rounds to address any issues they have. She sets an example for the nurse I want to become.
