While most nurses take good care of their patients and follow doctors' orders, Megan will go out of her way to motivate S to do what he needs to do to get better and recoup from his transplant. There are days where he is mentally and physically exhausted but Megan will sit down with him and explain why he needs to do something or eat something.
She has taken the time to get to know our whole family. Being here for over a month can be very boring for patients and stressful on a family. Megan is always there to answer our questions and ease our fears and is Shane's biggest cheerleader and advocate. We never feel bad leaving him when she's here. She is one of the reasons he is going to be discharged way before originally planned.
