One of the greatest examples of Jolly's commitment and compassion to her patients occurred while caring for a neuro interventional patient. The patient had been admitted to the Cardiac Catheterization Lab for a ruptured aneurysm and coil repair. Jolly was a circulating nurse for the patient's case which lasted over 4 hours. After the case, the patient remained in the Cath Lab Holding Area until her bed could be made available. During that time she had a grand mal seizure, becoming restless and agitated afterwards. Jolly stayed with the patient supporting her clinically by managing her medications to control her blood pressure and agitation. Additionally, as this was very scary for the family, Jolly expertly supported the emotional needs of the family comforting them during this stressful time, but also took expert care of their mother during this critical event. Jolly stayed several hours past the end of her shift taking care of the patient and did not leave her side until she was sent to her room.
