During a visit to Colorado, our family tragically lost a wife and mother after a car accident. Our parents had been out here from Pennsylvania visiting family. Upon arriving at the hospital, Deb met my sister and me prior to seeing our parents. She discussed what we would see and their condition with us. While in the ICU, we never left our parents' side and Deb never left our side. On Sunday we made a difficult decision to end treatments that kept our mom alive. Deb came in that day, her day off, to be by our side. She sat with us, cried with us, hugged us, through everything that day, before, and after. She went above and beyond her duties as a nurse to care for our family. She is forever etched in our hearts, and we are grateful for her compassion and care.
