As a new Veteran Medical Foster Home, our first Veteran was placed with us. Donette Gray is our resident's home care nurse. What a joy she has been to work with! She returns my calls and answers my questions quickly and efficiently. She relayed information to our Nurse Practitioner that expedited our resident's care, treatment, and healing.
Donette is soft-spoken and easily puts our resident at ease. He is able to laugh and chat freely with her and so looks forward to her visits. Donette learned he enjoys trying different teas and that he rolls the dice each morning to see which tea he will drink. So, in the mail arrived an oddly shaped envelope filled with all kinds of various teas from around the world. Our resident was so excited as he had his first cup. Sometimes it is the smallest gestures that mean the most to our Veterans! Like a cup of tea from a friend and caregiver.
