After surgery for my prostate cancer, I was in recovery and blood clots plugged my catheter. It had to be flushed and Candace knew just what to do and how to get help. She flushed the catheter on and off for 7 hours until the blood clots cleared. She was outstanding. I was totally impressed with my stay mainly because of the work ethic of this nurse and even the doctors.

Candace has integrity and truly focuses on serving the veteran. She helped me with my pre-procedure protocol, and she made me feel very comfortable. She is an asset to the functions you provide here at the VA. Please keep her! Also, she was very sweet and made me feel totally at ease. I was worried when I came in but she made me feel a lot more calm.

I want to take this time to personally thank this nurse for her professionalism and for recognizing and treating my extreme pain after my total knee replacement. My nerve block wore off soon after being placed in my room. She came in and immediately recognized the situation and started treatment. My pain level started to drop off pretty quickly and became tolerable in about 4 hours. Candace Evans is an excellent nurse.
