Today I had the pleasure of meeting with a new Kenosha veteran and his wife. The veteran and his wife were very happy to tell me about the care received from Kenosha CBOC nurse Kirk Katalinick.
The veteran and his wife both shared how grateful they were that Kirk took the time to explain FHCC benefits including transferring private prescriptions to the Provider/FHCC Pharmacy and the option to transfer specialty Care to the FHCC, saving the veteran from high out of pocket costs due to private insurance and Medicare co-pays.
The wife reported to Kirk that the veteran frequently "sits on the store shelves" when the veteran needs to rest while shopping. To protect the veteran's safety, Kirk worked with the Primary Care Provider and the Kenosha Telehealth nurse Turina Evans, and arranged for the veteran to receive a Rollator Walker during today's visit.
Many thanks, too, to Telehealth nurse Turina Evans for accepting the same-day request to provide the Rollator and instructions to the veteran and his wife.
Because Kirk took the time to listen, all of the veteran's needs for care were met during today's visit, and the veteran and his wife have a very positive opinion of the Kenosha CBOC.
