I would like to recognize Kelly Thorn, a nurse on the IMC unit, for making my experience at Carrol Hospital Center exceptional. She was so knowledgeable, compassionate and just so uplifting to be around that she seemed more like a family member than a hospital employee. What also set her apart was her determination to act as my advocate. Kelly went above and beyond to verify that all aspects of my needs were met. She even held my hand during one of my more stressful moments, independently sensing that I needed her support. I was released on my birthday and the interaction I had with Kelly Thorn over that weekend was the best possible gift ever!
Please know that Kelly Thorn is a special person and a nurse who exemplifies superior nursing. Kudos to Kelly!

I just wanted to take a moment out of a VERY busy day today, to let you know that the nurse from IMC Kelly Thorn, was exceptional to work with. She was caring for a patient who needed a hospice consult and Dove house admission and when I spoke to her she gave me an amazing report, very detailed and concise as well as informative. She had all of the information we needed immediately and she was an excellent advocate for her patient as well. She clearly cares about her patients and it really made my day today to have such a positive experience like this.
In addition to the above recognition, I would like to share, that on this day Kelly worked a 16hr day on the IMC at Carroll but still stayed true to her promise and delivered this patient's roses to her in hospice. It was after midnight when Kelly finally got off her shift here but she insisted on going an seeing her patient one last time.
