Heather made a difference in my life by recognizing that my health was deteriorating. I was a new employee to the department, and Heather had consistently asked me if I was okay. I would always say yes, but truly I hadn't been feeling well.
One day while at work, Heather's great nursing instincts kicked in; she found a wheelchair and rushed me to the EC. Heather stayed with me, and only briefly left. I was very sick, and nearly septic. Heather came back before I was to go to emergency surgery. She called every day while I was in the hospital and she visited me often.
On my last day in the hospital, Heather brought me clothes, shoes, and toiletries to leave in. Not only was she a part of saving my life, but she also made a difference to my spirit. Mentally I had given up on believing in good people, but she restored my faith in mankind. She really cared for me during my sickness, and even in the present time. I will always love her for this, and my kids love her also for caring just enough for their mom to make it home. Thank you.
