Melvin started working at PVMC almost a year ago. He was nominated by his peers for the DAISY Award because he often receives compliments for his kind, calm bedside manner with patients.
Recently, he received recognition from a patient's daughter who said, "Melvin was exceptional. My mother was in so much pain, but her medication had just been given and giving her additional medications did not seem like a good first option. Melvin was so kind and gentle. He carefully re-positioned my mother, rubbed her feet and shoulders until she was calm and comfortable. He truly went above and beyond."
