This nurse is exceptional, very compassionate, knowledgeable and an amazing human being. She provides excellent care with unparalleled compassion for all of the patients and their families. Not only is she a well versed, but very experienced nurse also wonderful kind-hearted respectful human being who always gives a hand to assist her colleagues no matter the situation. She never requests any help from anyone. She works very diligently with the physicians to assist in issues that need to be resolved and will continue to fill them until the issues are fully resolved. Despite working long hours and always staying late to help with her colleagues whenever we have a shortage she always volunteers to come in and cover when there is a need.
Recently, we had a sick patient whom we had to work on to stabilize and needed an especially excellent professional nurse. I was able to call her to see if she could come to assist so we could get the patient transferred and she came right in. She did not hesitate to find someone to care for her children so she could come straight to work. She stayed until 1 o'clock in the morning the next day and was very instrumental in assisting with stabilizing the very sick patient who was eventually diagnosed with congenital cyanotic heart disease. She assisted in prepping the lower intermittent suction for the chest tube, and she also assisted in central line placement. Because of her nursing expertise, all of these procedures went very well and the patient was successfully transferred. He was very sick for 12 hours but ended up having a very successful heart surgery.
She represents the "I Care value" truly and sincerely, not expecting thanks from anyone, she treats every one of her patients like they are hers. I am blessed and honored as it is a compassionate position to work along her side. Honest to God, she's an Extraordinary Nurse and human being.
