Ronnie was assigned to take care of my mom during our stay and he went above and beyond. My mother was in a medically induced coma and he told her everything he needed to do prior to doing it. He was so gentle with her and he gave us such a sense of relief during this difficult time. My mom looked so comfortable and the best she had looked in days after Ronnie's care.
I think what makes our situation unique is that I am an ICU nurse and I felt so hopeless and powerless. Ronnie did such a great job keeping us informed and comforting us during this unexpected trauma that my mom endured. In my six years of bedside nursing, I haven't met a nurse like Ronnie. He is really a gift to the profession of nursing. He takes care of his patients like they are his own family members with empathy that is difficult to find. He truly is one of a kind.
