From the moment I entered the doors of the Detroit Domiciliary, Jamal was a blessing. He made my transition to a new environment very smooth by taking a personal interest in me. Always approachable. He took the time to answer all questions helping in any way he could. Never forgetting about a person. I then noticed he gave all the veterans respect. He was always to help and have a smile on his face, no matter what the situation. He's an extremely knowledgeable person about his job. Even the smallest request during chaotic times was addressed. Sometimes people don't like their jobs or have bad days but not Jamal, he's always helping and smiling. He is truly an asset to his profession and definitely to the VA! His heart is really with helping the veterans! He leads by example and loves his job regardless of the situation he's there to help heal and honor veterans.
