I am pleased to nominate Hunter Porche for the DAISY Award. Hunter was dependable, efficient and very punctual keeping me pain-free. He did not make me feel like a patient, he made me feel like a friend. He kept me laughing for my two days. He knows that I like to listen to Scareface and the Daboky and my favorite TV show is Family Guy. I know that he likes to climb mountains and build rock sculptures with river rocks.
During my stay, someone broke into my house and stole my TV. I told him what had happened. He gave me some good advice. He said, that is material stuff, you can replace that, concentrate on getting yourself well. On my daily walk, he made sure every nurse we encountered knew my name and I knew their names. Hunter always tried to lift my spirt and the spirit of my family when they came to visit. He deserves this award.
