Kelsey went above and beyond to provide exceptional care for not only her patient but also for her family. Kelsey cared for one particular patient for three days in a row while the parents made the most difficult decision a parent could ever make, to redirect care. Kelsey cared for them every step of the way. She took them on trips to the garden each day, arranged pictures with extended family members and even took the time after work to make matching outfits for the baby and her big brother.
The family was deeply touched by the care, love, and compassion given to them by Kelsey. Multiple times the family mentioned to me how amazing she was and how thankful they were to have her during their baby's final days. I am so proud of Kelsey and thankful to call her my coworker and also to have her be a part of the Heart Center team.
