We had a patient whose family was Spanish speaking only. The patient had surgery, was intubated and was down in PICU. Bianca went down to check on the patient and family. She stayed with the mom who didn't have any family with her while her daughter received the last sacrament. Bianca came in on her own birthday to bring this family food so the mother could feed her kids and not have to worry about them during this horrible time. She spent her entire day comforting the family and providing a distraction for the patient's siblings. Bianca is the epitome of nurses at Covenant and exemplifies each of Covenant's values daily. She is always thinking of others. She is an amazing nurse and continually provides compassionate care; always putting the patient and their families first. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
