An Ode to Madison Geyer:
In my terrifying time of physical distress, someone was there to help me through the worst of my duress. A nurse, whose name is Madison, came to me with her aid, and through her gentle, loving care made me feel less afraid. Each time she came into my room with smiles so sweet and bright. She penetrated all my gloom and helped me through each night! She took the time to show me Love and do so many things that nurses may not get to do when every patient rings. Her genuine sincereness in the way she gave me care, showed more love and true concern that I've known anywhere. She was a ray of sunshine, and her brilliant smile showed me that she was in the place that God most wanted her to be. For she's a truly loving soul whose heart possesses things that make our God give her the role of Angel without wings.
For in my entire life I have never had such a wonderful nurse. I did not want to have to go home and leave her behind. I commissioned this poem above to be written for her as my personal tribute to her and to her remarkable abilities in the nursing field. She definitely was my Angel without wings!
