Ashley was recognized by a fellow nurse for her compassion and foresight in helping a mother and children home from the hospital. When the patient, a new mom, her 2-year old child and newborn encountered transportation difficulties at discharge, Ashley got creative. Without two car seats to ensure a safe ride home, Ashley explored options unsuccessfully before calling her husband to help. He arrived at the hospital with their car seats to accommodate the children. On their way home, he also stopped to get the family a hot meal. Ashley exhibits the kind of dedication for which PinnacleHealth nurses are known and serves as a shining example of what it means to be selfless.
