Trish's clinical knowledge and experience have ledher to be anamazing resource. She is a tireless workerand never turns down an assignment. She was a center of calm during the hectic days of Epic. Her patience with change processes amazing. Trish exemplifies the kind of nurse thatother nurses want to emulate. She iseducated, dedicated, and opinionated. She stands up for what is just and ethical, evenif itmeansaproject will require additionalwork. Simply put, she is a tremendous asset to our patientsand staff.
Trish has been withHarrison Medical Center forover two years. During that time, her presencehas been felt throughout the organization when planning, guiding, and providing care to our patients. She has been a motivational presence in the Intensive Care Unit for many projects, including chairing our Beacon Award re-submission committee. Shehas workedmany weekendsand pulledtwowork sessions until midnight to assemble the final 50-page submissiondocument.Trish is also coordinatinga national qualityimprovement initiative calledICU Liberation, anintense study designed by the Society of CriticalCare Medicine (SCCM)aimed at decreasingventilator complications anddecreasing ICU length of stay.Driven by her passion for clinicalexcellence, Trishwill representHarrison Medical Centerand the West Coast region for datacollection and reporting to SCCM.
Trish'sdesire to create a truly collaborative work environment is displayedthrough her dailyparticipation in multidisciplinary work groups thatimpactall nurses and patients in our facilityand region. This includes, butis not limited to, work related to Epic order reviews, hospital andICU policiesand procedures, core measures, professional development, and multidisciplinary rounding. Nurses look to Trishas a resource comparable to a textbook, physicians value her input and perspective, and nursing leaders rely on her for just about everything.
Trish is so amazing because of her ability to be well-versed in what's coming. She is well-read and prepared for whatever directionnursingandhealthcare is going, and createsplans to ensure Harrison staff and patients are ready.Trish is an outstanding educator; she is a BLS instructor and teaches theVersant residentsEKG/telemetry, cardiacsurgery post-operative care, critical care float pool, and many more.
Trish is an amazing example of a multi-talented nurse; a person that can do anything that she wants and will be tremendous when doing it. I am thankful that shehas decided to do it here.
