I have witnessed firsthand the extraordinary and compassionate care she delivers to all our patients. Without being asked, I have seen her go down to help patients who can barely stand, get out of cars and into wheelchairs, so the family/caregiver does not have to struggle. Upon a patient leaving clinic, if the patient needs to go to another area for other services, Pam does not tell the patient/family/caregiver how to get there she takes them herself. I have seen her sit with patients and hold their hand after receiving bad news, giving hugs and crying with them. She gives such a personalized and human touch to the care she delivers.
I have listened to Pam spend countless hours on the phone with insurance companies tirelessly fighting to get her patients the authorizations they need for coverage for oral chemo and scans. She never gives up on their behalf. I have listened to her spend hours on multiple calls with distressed patients and/or caregivers providing the support, education and reassurance they need. The patients recognize they are her priority.
