We had a patient in the ER who had no cellphone, money, and no one to call to pick him up. Bowen paid $40 of her personal money for this man to have cab fare home, which was out of town. She knew he felt bad, was on medications and she didn't want him to be here all night with no ride home. I'm so amazed by her nursing abilities and for going above and beyond in a compassionate manner to help others.

Bowen is truly a compassionate nurse. A patient was discharged from our emergency department with no ride home. The patient was unable to call for a ride home and was worried about how he was going to get home since he was from out of town. Bowen paid the extra fee to the local cab company to transport the patient home. This patient's concerns were put to rest and he was safely transported home thanks to this nurse's selflessness. This is one of the countless times Bowen has gone above and beyond and provides excellent care to each and every one of her patients every time.
