Cindy tirelessly does what I would assume to be her "job description" daily while, without questioning, does anything else that is asked of her. She is a Case Manager who wears many hats - and wears them well. When asked to do something, I have never heard anything other than, "I will take care of it". I never hear that it is not her job or that someone else should do it or that I should ask someone else. She exudes what in a faith based institution can be called JOY - always thinking first of Jesus, then of others, and finally herself.
Today she assisted with one of our patients who was here for an outpatient procedure. She did not hesitate. She did not complain. She did not tell me to call someone else. She simply did what was right for the patient and the patient's family. She may not be a bedside Nurse at this point in her career, but she still has a servant's heart and uses her nursing skills and knowledge to provide excellent service as a case manager. I know that she will show up at work and do her job with the kindness, compassion, respect and skill that we all hope we receive one day when we are sitting on the other side of this equation. This is just one small part of what makes her special.
