Lori Tuck is an advocate for her patients and support for her coworkers. There are many things I could mention but a true testament of Lori's heart for her patients is in how she cared for a particular one.
Lori had come to know and love a lonely, elderly man. Fragile and frail, but his grin would make anyone smile. Lori befriended him, cared for him, worried about him, advocated for him and made sure he was here for treatment and follow up just like he should be. He had a recent birthday and when a coworker asked her, "who's that gift for '? Lori replied, "For my patient, I bought it for his birthday because I doubted anyone else would get him a gift". She wanted his last birthday to be one where he felt like he was loved and cared for. Lori helped make that happen for him.
Lori has a heart as big as the sea and the courage of a lion!
