There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe Paula. She not only cares for her patients physical, mental and spiritual needs, but she also cares for the patient's family the same way. She fought for my sister's rights not only once but twice in less than 12 hours. She found out that my sister had a rough night when she came on duty at 7 am. She talked to her supervisor and between the two of them, they helped make things right. My sister was semi-comatose when another nurse came into my sister's room to evaluate her condition. While talking to my son and me, the nurse painted a very "gloom and doom" picture. Paula was in the room and heard everything that was said. She knew that I was very upset and she took me aside to explain the nurse was wrong and there were medical procedures that may help my sister. She also said that the other nurse was out of line talking to us the way she did. Again, Paula made sure the right thing was done for our sister, her patient, and us, the patient's family. Paula is a true DAISY Nurse for her compassionate care.
