Kat is one of our wonderful nurses in PICU 4W. She has always a positive attitude and is always a helping hand. She is friendly and a bit shy but much to our surprise is a hidden leader and one of the most generous hearts we have seen.
This November, she led a team of physicians, nurses, and others to go on a mission trip to Rongo, Kenya. Prior to her trip, she collected donations and medical supplies to bring them to those in need. A team of 41 individuals, they partnered with a local hospital to provide free medical care to over 3000 patients. Their Kids Camp saw 400 children, many of whom were orphans due to AIDS.
We are proud to call Kat one of our team members and a heart of gold is not just admirable but a true inspiration.
