I had elective surgery at the Day Surgery Center. This was my first experience with general anesthesia, and I was scared to death. I would like to extend a big Thank You to each and everyone on staff (the anesthesiologist, nurses, staff, and Dr. A) for making this a positive experience.
There is one extraordinary nurse that I would like to acknowledge.
Cindy was absolutely amazing. She is vivacious, personable, and the epitome of the perfect nurse. She calmed my nerves, made me feel relaxed, and at times had me laughing. I have to admit that I actually enjoyed the few hours she spent with me. She is the kind of person that one would love to have as a friend or neighbor. If I would have spent more time with her, I would have invited her to one of my holiday parties that I host.
Please don't misconstrue my message that Cindy is all "fun and games". She is so much more. She is very well versed in her field. She easily translates medical terms/ procedures/ processes into comprehensive layman's terms. It is the combination of her bubbly-personable personality and her professional knowledge that makes her a STAR Performer and the perfect face of the Day Surgery Unit!
Cindy: Thank you for being your amazing self. Don't you ever change!
