We met Aerial who cared for [our son] during several of her shifts. She knew that he was terrified of his IV and she advocated for us to have a new one inserted during surgery. It was as if she anticipated our needs before we even realized what our needs were. Our son had to miss the last three weeks of the school year; missing his Kindergarten graduation. This was mentioned to Aerial in passing as we watched the ceremony via Facebook Live. She [later] brought a cake into the room to celebrate with our son. That is providing services of the heart. Aerial was absolutely amazing and loves her job as well as the patients she cares for at this hospital. We feel truly blessed she was able to care for our son during this hospital stay.
