In my 20 years as a nurse, I've been fortunate to have worked with an outstanding crew of nurses. Once in a while, somebody just stands out for their ability as a nurse and their team attitude. I feel like Kim Johnston is absolutely as intelligent and sharp as anyone can be. She brings so much heart to the job that it is felt by every single person she helps and works with. But that's not even the best part! Kim is hilarious and I have to say, sometimes our job is so horrific that all we can do is laugh and Kim J brings the giggles. Whether it's a code blue, palliative care, a wild over-dose SI teen, I'd be by her side in an instant and she'd be by mine. Pretty sure she's everyone's favorite nurse to work with and not just one of mine. It's hot on pediatrics all the time and when Kim turns her pants into capris, it's probably because she's been jumping up to help her patients and coworkers without a shred of laziness. Kim is a DAISY Nurse for sure!

I was admitted to the hospital with a heart attack. Although all the nurses were great, Kim and I just clicked. She was always compassionate, vibrant, and kind. We had many laughs together. Laughter is good medicine. Thank you, Kim!
