Kathleen Devine took the initiative to meet my mother during her first stay in the Cardio unit just before the Christmas holiday. She not only checked in to see how my mother was doing but stayed for a brief friendly chat. When my brothers, niece and I arrived, my mother told us about this lovely nurse who was so kind, helpful and personable and hoped we would have the chance to meet her. We didn't at that time, but as my mother was being readmitted, Kathleen recognized her in the bed in the hospital and greeted her. My mother was right, Kathleen is the poster girl of the nursing profession! My brother and I loved her immediately and loved her even more now as she came by earlier just to check on my mother and ensure she had everything she needed. We knew our mother was in the best hands.
