I have never been a patient of this facility; however, I am an employee at this facility. I look at nursing not only as a profession but most importantly, as a calling. I've worked in the healthcare industry for 30 years, and Kay Traylor is the example to follow as The Nurse that has been called to this challenging profession.
I meet with Kay every morning, and she knows each patient that has been admitted and she genuinely cares about them. She is always working to ensure they receive the very best care here at NCMH! We are so blessed to have her at NCMH, and I have seen other nurses that work with her, follow her example. Kay is here early in the mornings and she stays late in the evenings to ensure that our patients are getting the best care possible. She gives 100% each and every day! Thank you, Kay, for sharing your gift of nursing with NCMH and answering the call!
Many people get into the healthcare profession for the money, but Kay is in this profession because she cares for people. Her calling is apparent in how she treats her patients and those around her. Her leadership is astounding, and she is a mentor to all the nurses in the hospital. Kay Traylor has set the standard of nursing, which we should all strive to meet. Again, thank you, Kay, for your dedication and answering the call to this profession.
