I am a patient at the hospital and I have been very happy with my stay and with all your amazing nurses. I wanted to specifically reach out and say one of the registered nurses is an angel and the best nurse I have ever known, her name is Cristhian. She took care of me last night just the way my mom does. Please always keep her because there is no one like her. Everyone has been so nice and great. I just wanted to send an honest review. Thank you.

Cristhian Blanco has been a Registered Nurse with LAC+USC Medical Center since May of 2001. She has given 18 years of faithful service to the County of Los Angeles and has always made it her priority to be professional and culturally sensitive to her patients and family members. She puts the needs of her patients first and manages to connect with them emotionally and on a personal level.
Cristhian is kind, compassionate, caring and empathetic with all her patients. She will sit and cry with an oncology patient and their family as they deal with the harsh reality of the end of life decisions. She is also one of the most patient nurses when it comes to helping a new mom breastfeed exclusively by encouraging her and cheering her on after they spent 20 minutes manually expressing a few drops of colostrum and then finger feeding that to the baby. After all these years, Cristhian still comes to work with a heart that desires to serve her patients with quality care
We are so proud of you, Cristhian, for receiving the DAISY Award!
