We don't know where to begin bragging about Kenneth. He does his job so well and stays calm under the most stressful situations. After my husband's open-heart surgery, he was very informative and helped me make decisions about the best time for my kids to see their dad. I know helping me with those decisions was not his job, but I had no one else to bounce these questions off of and his help was so compassionate and understanding.
When our oldest son (25) came to see his dad, he almost passed out when seeing his dad for the first time. Kenneth was right there and grabbed a chair, gave our son orange juice, and provided cold washcloths. He already had his hands full in taking care of my husband, but he jumped in to help my children and their reactions when seeing their dad's current state.
When my husband came to, he had hundreds of questions (or so it seemed). Kenneth answered all of his questions to the best of his ability. He always took care of things while I could not be at the bedside with my husband. I thought that sitting in the waiting room between visits would be the hardest part, but this was not the case because I knew he was in good hands with Kenneth. When my husband was cold, he got him extra blankets and adjusted the air. When he did not want to take his medications (he HATES meds by the way) Kenneth explained what each medication was for and the importance of taking each individual medication. To my amazement, my husband took all of his medications as instructed, without being forced.
Kenneth worked with my husband and encouraged him every step of the way. He was extremely patient with our entire family as we took turns "switching out" during visitation times. We have six children, and it seemed like every 3 minutes, someone was "switching". Even when we had technically overstayed our visit, he was kind and didn't rush us to leave and would remind us that my husband needed rest. We wished we could have taken him home with us! Thank you, Kenneth, for all you did for us!
