Heather was kind, and answered our questions like a professional; that's how I understood she was gentle and kind to my preemie son. She treated him like she truly cared. She was amazing and I wish every nurse made me feel like she did; her treatment and bedside manner is beyond amazing.

Heather Griffin is fantastic. She always has a cheerful attitude; she offers advice or suggestions for caring for the baby without being condescending. She lives up to the hearts everyone wears around their name tags. Twice, my daughter-in-law was practically in tears and Heather has come to the rescue with her gentle reassurance. She should be teaching a class on family interaction. Two specific examples:
1. Heather leaves sweet notes on the baby's bulletin board to let us know how he did through the night, but she is not only kind and caring, she is highly medically competent.
2. At the beginning of her shift, my grandson had an apneic and bradycardia event. She rushed in to explain how to stimulate the baby, explain the condition, asked the constructive question, "Did you notice any changes in the baby just before this occurred?", explained how to watch for color changes glassy eyes, etc., and reassured us that he would not be sent home if this was happening, even if he was taking full bottles. She is truly a gem - a whole bouquet of daisies.
