I was on the early level of pain and it was escalating. There was no available appointment on that day and the closest was after a week. From the moment Emma saw me, she tried her best to communicate with my physician to see me as a walk-in patient. When the pain increased and caused dizziness, I remember her saying, "I won't let you leave until you are feeling better." She called my physician who had inpatient consult. She stayed by my side till physician arrived and stayed by my side till treatment is completed and at the end said, "You can come whenever you feel tired." That is the best demonstration of empathy and her efforts played a big role in my treatment that day and left a positive life impact from Emma's action of caring towards patients.
