Rae-ann Boucher is a young RN who has made a significant impact in the Royal Alexandra ICU in a very short period of time. Rae-ann has a warm, friendly, positive personality, excellent work ethic, and the ability to demonstrate excellent nursing skills as well as critical thinking skills while caring for the critically ill patient in the ICU. She includes families and is compassionate and empathic to them providing support to them during the stressful time of having a loved one in Intensive care. Rae has excellent critical thinking skills and handles acute clinical situations with minimal outward stress and makes quick clinical decisions that are often seen in RN's with much more experience. She has acted as a preceptor to students and new staff to the ICU students consistently identifies Rae-ann as an excellent teacher and role model. Rae-ann emphasizes to students that importance of being here for the right reason "the patient" and seeks to work with people that enjoy nursing as much as she does.
A true joy to work with we have never received as much positive feedback about a new RN. She has natural leadership abilities and compassion for her patients and families.
