If you are a drop of water, you nourish an inch of land; if you are a ray of sunlight, you illuminate a bit of darkness; if you are a screw, you always stick to your post. She is an angel in white. She practices the mission of the hospital with her duties and dedication. She starts with hard work and ends with plain. Although hard, she holds up her patients' hopes for recovery with both hands. She uses her heart to communicate with other soul, uses her life to warm others' lives, and uses her love to help patients get the best service and treatment. She is Zheng Lin, a nurse at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital.
There was a coma patient using a long-term nutrition pump which caused diarrhea leading to the cervix and perianal incontinence dermatitis, which eventually turned into a pressure injury. Ingredients of nutrition fluid were adjusted and medication was given, which could not stop the thin stool from flowing out every day, worsening the perianal skin. Nurses tried all kinds of dressings and supplies after consulting wound care and the ostomy nurse team. One day, Zheng Lin found a stool stuck in the anus which allowed floating stool. After she managed to dig the feces out in a few days, the stool floating stopped and perianal skin was kept dry, which allowed the pressure injury to heal. You can imagine Zheng Lin wearing a mask and gloves, working on that blockage in the anus, day by day!
Zheng Lin is one of our nurses trying their best to provide best care for patients. We thank Zheng Lin and other nurses for their hard work.
