It is with great honor and pleasure for our family and I to nominate Kim for the DAISY Award. Our mother, 91-years-old, started her dialysis last November. Aside from her central line, she also has PEG and pacemaker. This makes her a patient with high demands. Not to mention her combative attitude when she is not in the best of moods. Kim is one of the nurses that we, the family, treasures the most. Her dedication towards our mother's care has always been delightful to watch. She walks in in her cheerful voice, calling her "Mommy" which surely brightens mom's face. She's very attentive to her needs and makes sure she is comfortable and happy. When our mother became very ill last February, Kim made it a point to drop by CCU, despite her very busy schedule. Kim would still talk to her, cheering her up even when she is nonresponsive. To summarize this, Kim very well deserves the DAISY Award as she is very caring and loving in nature. She has become a family member to us. We are surely fortunate to know her.
