My 3-year-old daughter had a cough and fever for a few days and had a history of contact with TB from an uncle. She was admitted in a negative pressure room in the ICU for investigation. I was pregnant and my doctor recommended that I limit walking. I worried about my daughter's condition and my baby. Visitation was limited and relatives and children could not play with her. The room did not have a television or toys. My daughter didn't look cheerful or happy. Nurse Madeena tried to talk and play with her without being afraid of the disease. She was so cute and provided careful care. She provided paper, pencils, erasers for her to draw and to paint, and brought balloons to play with. My daughter looked cheerful, smiling, and happy playing. She liked and trusted Nurse Madeena. She drew a picture of me and another girl (my daughter told me that was Nurse Madeena). I was impressed with her compassionate care of my daughter. Moreover, she explained everything about symptoms, the condition, and disease prevention. I felt relief and admired her sincerity of care.
