I write this letter in praise and acknowledgement of the Oncology Department at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center, Jeddah. The medical staff has been operating at the highest professional level in treating my brother despite the complexities of the case. The transition from Riyadh’s King Fahad Medical City has been smooth and seamless with no interruption in chemotherapy. The doctor and his team have demonstrated the utmost care, compassion and understanding as they dealt with a challenging case with a less-than-encouraging prognosis.
I would also like to extend gratitude to the nursing staff at the oncology clinics on the ground floor and 3rd floor for all their efforts in making follow-up and administration sessions far more tolerable despite the anxiety of patients and their families. Special mention goes to Sister Mayasah Assaf for her compassion and sparing no effort in making sure that MRI’s and chemotherapy sessions are booked on required intervals. We understand how difficult scheduling can be given the volume of patients being treated at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center, Jeddah.
