Anisha stands out in my memory during my stay on Abington - she is a bright cheerful person which is so important at your most vulnerable moments.
Anisha is always helpful, very understanding, very kind, always caring - wonderful at her job and a great help to my family.
There were times when I was very low and Anisha seemed to always be there. She knew when I needed time and when I needed to talk and cry. She also helped my family to understand what was happening and how to help.
Nothing was ever too much trouble; she often stayed past her home time and would treat everyone with respect and compassion.
Anisha is a credit to nursing, she is the image if what a nurse should be and I will be forever grateful for the support she gave me and my family in our hours of need.

Anisha welcomed us towards the end of the day. Her cheerful manner buoyed us after a long wait for a bed. She included my special needs daughter in all conversations. This was an unexpected admission for me, and as such I could not prepare my daughter for me being away from home. Anisha was calm and patient and really listened, not only to my concerns but the concerns of my daughter. Without her friendly and caring manner, an already stressful situation could easily have escalated for our family. We never felt as if we were keeping Anisha from other patients. Even when moved to a different bay, Anisha would stop on her way past, not only to check on me but to say hello to my daughter. I don't think she realises the importance of the familiar in keeping my daughter calm. A big thank you from all of us.
