I have been a patient in Palmerston North Hospital 3 times in the last 2 months. I was admitted with angina attacks. After leaving A&E I was admitted to the MAPU Ward. I was treated with wonderful care. How can I nominate one nurse when all of them treated every patient like a celebrity? Nothing was a problem for them at all. I can't remember all their names, but I can say that of all the hospitals and wards that I have been in, MAPU at Palmerston North Hospital is the best. The very best. The nurses in that ward deserve a friendliness medal and recommendation in some way. Any patients, old or young, male or female, or whatever ethnic culture they were, were all treated the same. I suppose like us all they would have personal problems, but nothing showed. Anyone would think that they were specifically chosen for that ward. They all were a ray of sunshine and would answer questions to the best of their ability. I can personally say without a shadow of a doubt that it was a joy to be taken care of, by such loving, caring, and professional ladies of the nursing profession. I enjoyed my stay.
