Becca was consistently brilliant - from the beginning to the end of the 12 hour night shift.
I suffer from anxiety and having recently come off my anti-depressants, am prone to bursting into tears at the drop of a hat. Becca's level of care and genuine warm-hearted approach was like nothing I have ever encountered. All through the night, Becca acted as a cushion of comfort, there with a warm heart and a steady hand. No wobble of mine too insignificant.
Efficient beyond belief, Becca would be at the door before I'd even reached for the bell. When I did burst into tears Becca not only calmed me down, but offered up some possible solutions, not in an authoritarian way, but just to put things in perspective, as my mind raced irrationally every which way.
My veins are very tricky, with blood often refusing to play. Becca is a blood whisperer and would talk me through exactly what was going on with exceptional professionalism.
I hope not to return to the Cardiology ward, but if I do, I sincerely hope that Becca's on shift as she is a diligent, hard worker and wonderful in every way. She's Wonder Woman.
