Sarah is our lead for the Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) group which she started in 2012.
Sarah organises a meeting for us usually every 2 months, we now have a lovely group of patients, who meet up.
Sarah always makes sure the meetings are educational, very informal and also a great chance to socialise with fellow patients.
We as patients are asked our opinion on various issues, but also the group is very helpful as we are all able to meet up with other patients who have had or are having the same experiences and this can be very helpful.
I met Sarah a few times during my many stays in the hospital before she set up the PPI group.
Nothing is too much trouble for her any time of day, she is always ready to listen whether personally or professionally. Sarah is a lovely inspirational lady and a true DAISY Nurse.
