I have known Praveena for almost 12 years. She always motivates and inspires everybody around her. She shares her knowledge and experience with those in need. She truly cares that patients receive the best treatment. One day after her night duty, a patient attender left a special needs patient alone in his room and she noticed that nobody was with the patient. The patient was a fall risk, so she stayed with the patient around 40 minutes after her night duty. The patient even passed stool and she cleaned the patient and changed his pampers without any delay.
I've never seen her get angry or refuse assignments given to her. She is professional with everybody, whether they be her supervisors, staff, or even the relatives of the patients. She always takes the time to talk to her patients and tries to alleviate their anxiety prior to their operation. She defines the meaning of true patient care. She always gives very good skincare and oral hygiene for all patients especially special needs patients who will come from outside facilities. She always does mouth irrigation of all patients who have intra maxillary fixations (IMF) and feeds them through syringes. She also instructs and teaches the family how to take care of the IMF patients. She is always a role model for other nurses.
